Original hand-painted works on collected fragrance cards
Perfume has always been a private obsession — and what comes with it the small rectangle of paper that carries an entire journey in a single breath in. Over many years, I have collected fragrance sample cards from the great perfume collections — Diptyque, Chanel, and beyond — and painted on them directly in my studio. The lingering fragrance bringing inspiration as I begin to draw. Brush, ink, print press and gouache layered onto the original card. The fragrance and the image becoming a double memory of creativity — of scent and painting.
